Studio Policies

Registration
MJSOD registration is by the month and will include a one time per year registration fee. Please see the tuition and fees page for more information.  Students are encouraged to register in advance due to limited class size.  Students will be charged tuition (whether or not they have attended) up to the date they give notification to cancel.  Please cancel by certified mail or by signing the registration book at the main desk.  MJSOD reserves the right to cancel any class for which there is insufficient registration.

Missed Classes

Missed or cancelled classes may be made up in any other class you choose.  Make up classes must be taken within one month of the missed or cancelled class.  When taking a make up class please notify the teacher and office manager of your name and intentions so that you will not be charged for the class.

Fees
Tuition is due by the 1st of each month.  If your account has not been paid by the 5th, it is considered past due.  The late fees are: after the 5th--$5.00 late fee, after the 10th-- $10.00 late fee, after the 15th-- $15.00 late fee.  Students who have not paid by the 15th of the month will be asked to observe rather than participate in class.
NO CASH REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.

Trial Classes
Perspective students are invited to take one class on a trial basis for which they will not be charged in the event they do not continue.

Class Placement
Teachers at MJSOD reserve the right to place students at appropriate levels and to move students from one level to another at any time.

Private Classes
Private classes and individual coaching are available by contacting the appropriate teacher for appointments.  Private students will continue their scheduled lessons times through studio holidays unless other arrangements are made.  When possible, please be sure to give at least 48 hours notification when canceling a private lesson.
